How and why you should share your data

What is the advantage of sharing your data with peers

Being able to compare datapoints and learn from other organisations can be a great help and source of inspiration when fighting energy waste. With the user and permission settings you can share the data you are comfortable sharing, with people you choose to share it with.

By having access to other organisations data, you can find relevant insights. What look optimally among your buildings, may actually be a lower performance, compared to another organisation.

Also you have the opportunity to inspire and be inspired by other organisations actions and learn from the effect that these are having.

It is always a great idea to share knowledge, we can all learn from each other. We recommend using the shared data to start conversations with your community. You may already have existing networks where you discuss your energy optimization. It is possible to share with existing and non existing Ento users.

If you don’t have an existing community, let your contact person at Ento know and we are happy to help facilitate a community for you.

How to share access

If you want to share data access with another org. you do so in

Settings→ Shared Access→+Share Access

You choose weather you want to share acces with an organisation or with a person, and then you choose the what kind of access they should have. You also choose of they should have access to all sites or a limited number of sites.

Once you’ve granted access the person can see data based on access level. Read more about the different user types here

We advise you to share access with trusted partners and unless specifically agreed upon, you may never share other organisations data.
